Netflix is ending support for PlayStation 3.

Streaming service Netflix announced the termination of its application on the Sony PlayStation 3 console from March 2, 2026. When the system was launched, users saw a warning about the imminent shutdown in recent weeks, which caused an active discussion: some were surprised by the unexpected decision, while others were surprised by the fact that the service continued to work at all on the device released in 2006.
Many owners complained about the slow operation of the application and poor image quality, as well as freezing when watching movies. At the same time, the PlayStation 3 version remained one of the few ways to watch content in 4:3 format.
